By Srutadeva dasCertainly I don’t think anyone involved in ISKCON will disagree that there is much room for improvement. But let us not subsribe to the logic of “give the dog a bad name and hang it.” Because there have been many problems within ISKCON, some of an extremely serious nature, that does not mean that the whole purpose and mission of ISKCON has been a failure.

By Manjulali dasiI must admit sometimes in our lives things aren't always easy and this can get us down. Lately I am realising the necessity of becoming the honey bee always seeking the nectar, overcoming the fly-like mentality that bypasses all the beautiful flowers and finds the one piece of stool.

By Indradyumna SwamiAlthough Vasudeva Vipra was a leper and had suffered greatly, still Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu cured him. The only return the Lord wanted was that Vasudeva preach the instructions of Krsna and liberate all human beings. That is the process of the International Society for Krsna Consciousness.

By Bhakti Bhrnga Govinda SwamiIt has been over three months since the Kazakhstan government attempted to destroy homes of the devotees and confiscate their properties. Due to your efforts of sending letters, faxes, and emails to the Kazakhstan government, the orders were frozen from the Capital. But sadly, there has been no resolve to the situation.

By Sacidevi dasiAfter I checked in my main luggage I was told that there is five minutes left for boarding and it takes fifteen minutes to reach the gate! Just before security check, on time I realised that my beads could be taken away. So I put it around my neck like a necklace and folded the bead bag as tiny as possible and squeezed it into my coat pocket.

By Praghosa dasWhen we arrived in Dublin the first alarm bell was that our luggage didn't arrive with us even, though it was checked in three hours beforehand. We were then told it would arrive on the next flight later in the afternoon. Eventually when our luggage did arrive both bags were there but my laptop and mobile phone were not inside. Initially my mind went into a tailspin and was registering, at a rate of knots, all the inconveniences that now awaited me.

By Bhadra Govinda DasaSiksa guru and diksa guru are identical, and the importance of siksa is quite well explained by our founder acarya in the first chapter of Adi Lila of Caitanya Caritamrita. That is sufficient and adequate for us, and there is no need to coin a term "siksa sampradaya" or "siksa parampara."

By Chaitanya Charan DasHave you seen how peacefully a child sleeps in the lap of his parent, even in a noisy, crowded local train? The hustle-bustle disturbs everyone, but not the child – due to his implicit faith in the protection of his parent.

By Pankajanghri dasA Few hours later the people who work in the memorial service came to us and exclaimed in amazement - “We have never seen anyone’s ashes look so white and beautiful like jade as your father’s! What happened to him? What were you chanting for him?” “Could you write it down for us? We want to learn and we think we can also chant while doing our service here.”

By Hridayananda Goswami There is another point. Ultimately the essence of pure devotion is the pure desire to please Krishna. Krishna Himself makes perfect arrangements to save the fallen souls and assigns a sufficient number of devotees to preach. As I said, since everything depends upon the free will of the conditioned souls, there is, in a sense, a finite amount that can be done for them.

By Balabhadra dasMy realizations on this episode are that I need to become more grateful of the service rendered by other living entities in their service to God. To take their association for granted and not to relish their association until death has taken them away is a great disservice to their very existence.

By Gauri DasaMessage from the Prime Minister The Rt Hon. My congratulations to the organisers and everyone else involved in this successful event.

By Vyapaka dasaDedicated to practically exploring Srila Prabhupada's instructions on simple living and high thinking. If we need inspiration, let us think of Srila Prabhupada's devotion and determination to serve his spiritual master as he boarded the Jaladutta — though he was penniless, of an advanced age and uncertain as to his chances of success — still he forged ahead.

By Srutakirti dasaKnowing the exalted position of our beloved Srila Prabhupada, one can appreciate that His Divine Grace knew who he was dealing with, what they meant and exactly what he wanted them to understand. Srila Prabhupada never compromised the philosophy to please anyone. He always spoke the absolute truth!

By Bhakti Charu SwamiDevotees apparently go through some difficulties at times, but those difficulties do not effect them by any means because they are always protected by Krishna's merciful embrace. Rather, through these difficulties, Krishna proves to the world the devotees' perfect love for Him and how He always saves them when in difficulty.

By Anthony and PonoAloha from Hawaii. Could you help spread the word about our work to save cows, steers, and bulls from slaughter and abuse? By Chaitanya Mangala dasaLet's try to avoid tit for tat rhetoric and instead center our efforts on creating an atmosphere conducive for reconciliation. Focusing exclusively on the past is divisive and ultimately benefits no one. Let's instead spotlight the areas where we are in agreement. I sincerely believe that the more we engage in open and honest dialog the more we will discover that the points we disagree on are fewer than we think.

By Hari-sauri dasaIn an age where empirical evidence is supreme and in the face of political pressure these "followers" are reluctant to assert the truth of our authorities's statements. It is therefore prudent to use scientific research where possible to convince the minds of the intelligent class that the Vedas are reliable and authentic.
