Was Dylan empowered to sing of the coming of the Acharya of the Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu line of disciplic succession? As crazy as it sounds, at least to some disciples it makes perfect sense that he could be the prophetic voice of a minstrel who was planted by the will of the Supreme Lord into the crowd of the day’s social rebels. In his song “Lay Down Your Weary Tune”—reminiscent of the Bhagavata’s 2nd canto of describing the Supreme Lord in Nature—he sang of God’s endless orchestra in the sky and ocean. Many devotee...

To address the hopelessness, we have a small center not far from Beirut. A place where we can help heal the wounds of the heart and give courage. There we host regular kirtan programs and philosophical discussions. Kirtan has this incredible potency to wash away anxieties and re-establish the connection that gives the greatest strength and hope. Through the discussions, we pass on the deep Vedic knowledge that connects us to the ultimate source of all strength and hope, giving people a solid spiritual foundation to face their challenges with courage and determination. ...

By Atmananda dasaThere is no contradiction. Rather, we become both: simultaneously dependent and independent: independent for Krishna; both surrendered - thinking ourselves fully dependent - and autonomous. By becoming instruments, we act as little Krishnas, manifesting His brilliant and magnetic qualities, as Srila Prabhupada does. He instructs and guides us to become fully qualified - like touchstones – to transform others also, into pure servants of the servants of the Lord. Surrender means that we are willing and able to carry out the apparently impossible mission, the desire of guru ...

It is a humbling experience to sit in a room (or a Zoom call) full of devout Christian scholar-practitioners who have studied and read Vaishnava texts with the same ferocity and sincere devotion as their own. This was my experience as a novice attendee at the annual Vaishnava-Christian Dialogue event held from September 25-26th.

By Deva Darshan DasSharing wisdom and ideas on a forum are great but going on site and making things happen is even better. My point is, I believe successful congregational leaders should make themselves more accessible to Leaders from struggling countries. We cannot only unite during the Mayapur festival or when we need to sign petitions to avoid temples closing down. I am not saying create a mess. Of course, there should be discipline and everything has to be done under the Local authority... but none of our temple deserves to be the weakest link...Should...

By Vijaya DasaIt looks like Covid-19 was a blessing in disguise for the Vancouver temple in August. I don't remember ever seeing such a high score. It was the No. 9 temple worldwide, with almost 7,000 book points. Another pleasant surprise is the No. 1 book distributor for the month: Vibhu Caitanya Prabhu, an old friend, from Durban. He's been a book distributor for many years, but I've never seen him score so high. It looks like another Covid-19 blessing in disguise. He did 4,380 book points, and the Durban temple was right behind the Vancouver temple, No. 10 in the world, with 6,029 book points.
