On the 26th of November last a group of devotees from Croatia visited their President Ivo Josipovic.
The purpose of the meeting was to bring together ISKCON in Croatia with the office of the President of Crotia, especially with his advisers on religious groups.
As per protocol 30 minutes was scheduled for the meeting, however, due to the pleasant atmosphere of the meeting that time was extended. After the exchange of information, gifts were presented to the President, two cakes from our vegetarian restaurant Vegehop for him and his associates, as well as a special gift from India – Rudra Veena (Indian musical instrument wired).
The President is a musician and devotees demonstrated bhajans which were led by Seva Kunja Mataji on harmony singing Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. The President really liked the bhajans and he exchanged a few kind words with Mataji Seva Kunj related to music.
The President was informed about the work of Food for Life and the other contributions by devotees to the society in the Repubic of Croatia and the region, the greatest emphasis being given to the dissemination of spiritual knowledge.
They also discussed Vedic philosophy and the importance of our spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada. As soon as we touched the topic of Srila Prabhupada’s books, the President mentioned that in his library he already has a couple of Srila Prabhupada’s books.
At the end of the meeting Dharani Pati Prabhu handed him a book, which he wrote and the President then invited representatives of the Hare Krishna community to the Christmas party at his residence along with other distinguished persons.

I have to write more otherwise my comment will not be published. Therefore: your service is indeed wonderful, most important, suberb. It’s perhaps also a great example to other politicans and public figures of other countries to meet the devotees of Krishna very cordially. Very much needed actually in order to counteract the craziness of the age of Kali.
