Paramesvara dasa Brahmacari (placed first in USA distribution 2006 and 2007) has happily agreed to share his realizations and association with those wishing to learn the art. He will be available starting August 20, 2008 for two types of training programs:
Program 1: Traveling sankirtan book distribution. Trainees will travel in the van with Paramesvara Prabhu and go out with him daily.
Program 2: Paramesvara Prabhu will come to your temple or center and train up devotees and go out with them locally.

I have been trying to cultivate my growing interested in book distribution, but I am a little reluctant to pursue this training offer because I have doubts about my ability to commit and do not want to waste Paramesvara prabhu’s time. I maintain a full-time career, a small farm, and a large family, so I have little ability to add more to my schedule. Still, the idealist in me dearly wants to find a way to distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books, but it’s hard to get started without some training. I sometimes daydream about quitting my job and selling Srila Prabhupada’s books full time, and these thoughts evoke the most wonderful excitement in me; but so far the materialist in me has always managed to remind me that it takes a lot of money to maintain a family.
I wonder if there is some other way to get this kind of training, suitable for beginners. Perhaps some sort of online discussion group would be helpful. Of course, if Paramesvara prabhu or any other expert book distributor comes to the Gita-nagari area in central Pennsylvania, I would be anxious to spend a day training with him. Hare Krishna.
