The Bhajan Kuti case – Disturbed Krishna bhaktas start sankirtan yatra

Vrindavan news

Krishna devotees, disturbed that the Bhajan Kuti of Srila Bhaktivedant Prabhupada Maharaj at the Radha Damodar Mandir, situated in Seva Kunj, has been sealed, on Monday began a program of harinam nagar sankirtan. Devotees from ISKCON said that until the locks of the sealed bhajan kuti were not opened for the faithful, they would continue with their sankirtan yatra.

It must be noted that the dispute over the old bhajan kuti of Srila Bhaktivedant Prabhupad where worship was being conducted by the management of the ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir and the sevayat of the Radha Damodar temple has been going on for a month now. Fearing the dispute would turn violent, the police sealed the rooms to maintain peace. In protest of this devotees from ISKCON from Monday began a program of daily nagar sankirtan throughout the main roads.

In this connection Krishna devotees said that once the Nawab Chandji tried to stop the merciful avatar Chaitanya Mahaprabhu from preaching devotion to Krishna. In order to change his heart, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu began harinam sankirtan yatra. In keeping with this tradition, when the ISKCON Mandir at Bombay was opposed by so called “opponents of religion”, Srila Bhaktivedant Prabhupad in order to change their hearts arranged for harinam sankirtan yatra. He said that Krishna devotees are following the same tradition. Srila Bhaktivedant Prabhupad doesn’t belong to ISKCON or to Radha Damodar Mandir, but he belongs to the whole world. Saints belong to the whole world. If the places of worship of such saints are shrouded with quarrel, the importance of religious principles will decline. The devotees appealed to the residents of the town to support this noble endeavor.

Srila Prabhupada speaks on: "Satisfying The Senses"
Srila Prabhupada said that women are less-intelligent than men. Can we support this?
