A gifted, vibrant group of Srila Prabhupada’s 2ndgeneration artists are inviting you n your family to a sublime evening of classical bhajan n dance Prayers on October 17th in Sri Vrndavana Dhama. Under the starry, moonlit sky in the Bhaktivedanta School Gardens which again will be lit up with hundreds of twinkling dheeps, we pray to please Srila Prabhupada, all our Lords, and the assembled devotees with a devotional collage of heartfelt musical Prayers.
All of these devotee artists have studied the rigorous disciplines of the Indian Classical Performing Arts since their childhood. Individually and collectively as skillful devotee performers, they have stunned and mesmerized audiences all over India and the world with their unique flavor of BHAKTI n expertise. Srila Prabhupada wanted this…his “dancing white elephants” to preach with the colorful eloquence of traditional classical music n dance.
In loving appreciation of Rasagya devi dasi, one of the first devotee artists of the Bhaktivedanta Players, we pray for her blessings and the blessings of devotees around the world.
We have keenly observed with great satisfaction how Prabhupada’s 2nd generation classical artists, who have grown up in ISKCONs around the world, have provided transcendental entertainment for Temple openings, Janmastamis, GouraPurnimas, Rathyatras, weddings, as well as for many other festivals since their early childhood. We are encouraging ISKCON Temple Presidents and other VIPs to hire these professional artists for various Temple programs instead of paying “professional outsiders.” There are hundreds of Srila Prabhupada’s 2nd generation artists who can provide you transcendental entertainment for your Temple congregational festivities!
Our renowned MC this year for KARTIK VANDANAM 2 is Dina Bandhu das who will take us on a manasa Vrndavana Parikrama to the eight major Temples of Vrndavana. To celebrate and honor these Sacred Places, each artist will offer their classical prayers in the manasa Atmosphere that Dina Bandhu will descriptively create. As an attempt to build Bhakti bridges with our Brijabasi classical artists n friends, many Brijabasi families have been given personal invitations to attend. This invitation has also been given as a Diwali celebration.

The program was a grand success. I took devotees on a parikrama of the seven Goswami Temples of Vrindavan, the Yamuna, and Imli Tala, all by the tongue. It was complete with a monkey stealing someone’s glasses (just my acting). The performances by the Second Generation were very moving and inspiring and some even moved me to tears. The International School let us use their courtyard as the temple management refused to let us use their big pandal since there were girls dancing.
