Dear Friends,

In the Caitanya-caritamrta, the benefit of chanting is described. “The result of chanting is that one awakens his love for Krsna and tastes transcendental bliss. Ultimately, one attains the association of Krsna and engages in His devotional service, as if immersing himself in a great ocean of love.”
Srila Prabhupad dedicated his life to establishing ISKCON for the purpose of spreading the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra all over the world.

Holy Name week and Purusottam month coincide this year and we at Bhakti Centre have so many initiatives planned to please Srila Prabhupad and increase our service during. Not only is increased Bhakti recommended due to increased spiritual benefits during this time but we are also always trying to find ways to share the holy name with the public. It’s been difficult to do a lot this year due to the present covid 19 restrictions in Australia.

Recently our very innovative centre manager Madhavananda Das saw a plane flying above with a banner that had an anti political statement. From this he got the brainchild to do the same thing with ‘Hare Krishna’ in the message. He made inquiries and when the aviation company heard it was for the ‘Hare Krishnas’ they were so favourable they agreed to do it for a heavily discounted price. Result was the plane flew all around the Gold Coast for one hour displaying a banner saying ‘Chant Hare Krishna For World Peace’ while our Harinam party was chanting below. The 700000 strong population plus thousands of weekend visitors on a beautiful sunny Saturday all saw the holy name.

The costs of this endeavour were kindly paid by our local devotee restaurants Govindas Surfers Paradise and Cardamom Pod and our Bhakti Centre congregation members.
Please bless us to increase our service to the Gold Coast community more and more for years to come,
your servants at
Bhakti Centre Gold Coast Australia.
