Karsna das: HG Jagadatma Prabhu – a disciple of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada – is currently at the Apollo hospital in Bhubaneshwar, India, awaiting surgery.
He developed blisters on his foot which became infected. He was given antibiotics but unfortunately he has developed dry gangrene which affects people with diabetes and blood vessel diseases as in his case.
Unfortunately after further recent tests Jagadatma Prabhu’s arteries in his legs have become blocked, so now it has become a vascular problem.
He will now be admitted for research/treatment on the arteries in both of his legs.
When that is hopefully solved then part of his foot may have to be amputated.
We kindy ask all the vaishnavas for their heart felt prayers during this time.
HG Jagadatma Prabhu dedicated his life for the service of Krishna. He met the devotees in Australia and received first initiation from Srila Prabhupada in 1977 in Melbourne. He raised six children with his wife in Krishna Consciousness. He established his own farm where he was growing his own food and taking care of cows. He met His Holiness Gour Govinda Swami while Maharaj was preaching in Australia. Maharaj invited him to go to Bhubaneshwar with his family which he accepted. He lived there for 5 years and his service was paramount in completing the construction of the temple there. Following Gour Govinda Maharaj’s order he became a vanaprastha at the age of 50. Since then he helps individuals in their Krsna Consciousness by giving guidance and training.
