By Bhakti Raghava Swami"Balarama represents plowing the land for agriculture and therefore always carries in His hand a plow, whereas Krishna tends cows and therefore carries a flute in His hand. Thus the two brothers represent krisi-raksya and go-raksya.”

By Radhanath SwamiI am beside myself with grief and am speechless while trying to digest the reality that His Grace Gopiparanadhana Prabhu has been taken away by Krishna. Krishna’s plan is always perfect but when it manifests in the passing away of such an intimate, loving Godbrother as Gopiparanadhana Prabhu it is painful. But our solace is in our deep confidence that he has attained the ultimate perfection of life, entrance into Radha Giridhari’s eternal lila

By Pusta Krishna dasSomewhere along the line, the boundary between Krishna Consciousness and narcissism has become blurred. This is not very surprising because we live in the material world with a desire to occupy the lofty and unique position of Sri Krishna Himself. Krishna, however, is ajita, undefeatable, being the Summum Bonum, the Creator of all, and the only true Enjoyer with his creation as His property

By Niranjana SwamiWhen I think of Gopipara - nadhana Prabhu, I think of the one devotee in ISKCON upon whom all future Sanskrit translations would be resting upon. Gopiparanadhana Prabhu was singlehandedly training future Sanskritists who would carry on the tradition of producing scholarly translations and commentary. He was a jewel among Vaisnava scholars and was deeply committed to carrying on the tradition of translating and commenting in the same mood as Srila Prabhupada.
