By Praghosa dasaThe next thing we remember was being woken up by an absolutely blinding white light shining right into the front window of the car. Then, we could hear what sounded like a helicopter or two overhead. Still groggy from sleeping we were quickly realising that something weird was going on. As our peripheral vision began to come into focus we could see army tanks and soldiers and policemen crouched all around our car, with automatic machine guns pointed right at us.

By Ramabhadra dasFrom every angle of vision of true circumstance that I inspected this case from, the GBC and CPO have always acted with respect, and restraint toward Dhanurdhara Swami and especially with concern for the care and well being of his innocent initiated disciples. It is his so-called friends who muddy the waters by constantly causing Dhanurdhara Swami’s dirty laundry to be aired in public forum.

By Laksmi Nrsimha DasI, like many devotees around the world, have been following the chain of events and subsequent opinions surrounding the Dhanurdhara Swami case. I have patiently listened to all points presented to date by the concerned Vaisnava community and would like to make a humble attempt to put forth my observations regarding this pivotal decision facing the GBC at present.

By Nirakula devi dasi Recently it has come to our attention that some devotees may be misrepresenting themselves as Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. volunteers, scheduling training seminars, and collecting funds in the name of Vaisnavas C.A.R.E.

By Krishna Dharma dasSome years ago a paper by Ravindra Svarupa prabhu entitled 'Cleaning House and Cleaning Hearts: Reform and Renewal in ISKCON', which originally appeared in two parts in the ISKCON Communications Journals of January and July 1994, was widely circulated amongst ISKCON members. As a 'second generation' devotee who came to ISKCON in 1979, I read with interest this paper, which basically chronicled many of the difficulties ISKCON has undergone since its inception.

By Chaitanya Mangala dasaThere is ample philosophical support that if in the course of doing their duties Vaishnavas transgress material laws the mercy of the Lord may mitigate their reactions. Some scriptural references imply that under certain circumstances devotees may not be subject to the same laws as non-devotees. However, scriptures also state that devotees would not break these laws anyways because they understand the negative implications of doing so.

By Giriraj SwamiYour letters were well-considered and well-articulated, and I much appreciated them. Certainly, we must seriously consider the words of sadhu, sastra, and guru in all our deliberations. We are meant to represent Srila Prabhupada, who himself represented his guru-parampara, our disciplic line from Srila Rupa Gosvami.

By Badrinarayan dasaNo one wins by a Prabhu and me jousting online. Rather, the wounds on both sides are only deepened and the inevitable offenses increased. My fervent prayer is that a Prabhu will turn his keen intelligence toward working with us to find a solution to this situation, one that addresses both sides of the truth, not just the side he likes.

By Richard Wyndham......and there is a massive Krsna parade. They had massive floats and all of them were following and dancing and beating drums and handing out chocolate slice and things like that. There were singers and all sorts of thing and they just went nuts. Each time they paused someone would start a faster banging on their drums and the crowds of them went wild. They love a good dance!

By a DasaSetting aside all of this back and forth, it would be useful if we came to some mutual conclusions, especially because I have no intention of engaging in an ongoing debate.
