By Ghanashyam dasOn wednesday as part of our initiative to distribute prasadam at least once a week to the residents Navadwipa we set out to the village on the other side of the Jalangi river named Lenin colony. West Bengal for so many years was governed by the communist party hence the reference to one of its icons - Lenin. Not sure if he ever had piping hot kitchari for lunch but all the residents of the village named after him certainly relished it with great enthusiasm.

By Basu Ghosh DasA thousand years ago, the Hindu Raja (King) Jayavarman II, built numerous large elaborately decorated stone temples of Lord Vishnu, in the area that today is known internationally as Angkor Wat. Raja Jayavarman II constructed his capitol in this place a thousand years ago, and n...

By Pusta Krishna DasIn 1971 I related to Srila Prabhupada my personal experience of revelation from Krishna. With eyebrows raised he immediately said: "So now you must tell them that God is not dead." It has been a long time coming and finally by his grace I have published this book. In the history of western literature there has never been a factual description of God. We often hear that “no one has seen God and lived to tell about it.” However, if the Supreme Truth wishes to reveal Himsel...

By Parasuram DasaI was talking to one very respectable lady from Emerates, she was busy chopping vegetables for my subji. It was her first time to Europe, she was to attend some diplomat meetings and had only two days before returning home. She told me that she was loving the chopping service and this was a much more important way to spend her time. I could understand from this that the living entities are by nature servants of the Supreme, ...

By Devamrita SwamiMyths and fantasies are an essential part of ordinary human culture. Through science fiction, legends, and fairy tales, the mundane imagination soars, unfettered by reality. But here's one daydream Krishna's devotees, in the real world of bhakti, can do without: we spiritually benefit the condemned cow by offering its milk to Krishna.
