By Sita-pati dasAs both Krishna-kirti prabhu and His Holiness Danavir Maharaja went to some lengths to point out in their articles, there is nothing wrong with congregational members honestly maintaining themselves through teaching hatha yoga outside of ISKCON owned facilities, and at the same time using it as an opportunity to bring people in contact with Krishna Consciousness.

By Dayananda dasThey came into Prabhupada's quarters wearing suits, so he called for chairs. Maharaj and the other scientist disciples protested, because his disciples never sat higher than Prabhupada, who was sitting on the floor. Moreover, Prabhupada would not have tolerated such a violation of etiquette from a disciple. Still, Prabhupada insisted, and showed them how much he appreciated their efforts.

By Deena Bandhu dasThen bringing Maharaja carefully down the steps of the temple, the devotees took him on parikrama of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir three times. His disciples sweetly chanted a nice Manipuri melody of Hare Krishna Mahamantra. The procession moved very slowly and reverentially around the parikrama path. After the third round, Maharaja was taken to the Samadhi Museum and there was a huge surge and rush.

By Indradyumna Swami"Fortunately, a teacher in a local school took pity on me and tutored me in her spare time. Going to church and praying to God was all that made sense in life at that time, but as I grew older, I became dissatisfied with the sermons, as they didn't explain enough about God. I was frustrated. 'How will I ever know Him?' I often said to my friends.

By Citraka dasaFirst to speak was Prahladananda Swami who presented many quotes from Srila Prabhupada which more or less made clear that there are little or no grounds for devotees to receive salaries for services rendered. He did mention that there maybe exceptional circumstances that would warrant this and Prabhupada also allowed this, but that the norm should be that ISKCON does not pay salaries.

Hatha-yoga is an important aspect of Vedic culture, and promoting Vedic culture wherever possible is always beneficial for preaching. Teaching hatha-yoga also happens to be an honest livelihood. Hatha-yoga taught within boundaries acceptable to our parampara, that is, for physical and mental health, means that it is being taught without an element of deception.

By Campakalata Devi DasiPlease friends, make it a priority during your Vrndavan visit to pay your respects to these cows and the devotees who care for them. Just being in the company of those gentle animals and seeing the devotees attentively providing them such loving care is enough to soften the heart and soothe the mind. Truly it is a spiritually rewarding experience to appreciate Krsna's dearest animal, the cow. Goloka, Gokula, Govinda, Gopal… First and foremost, Krsna is a lover of cows.

By a Dasa"Wow," she said. "God in the Vaisnava tradition is certainly a complex and multi-faceted individual." She then added, continuing in the humorous mood, "I guess David is only "partially" aggressive, too. He's actually a great kid." We laughed and looked at each other knowingly, recognizing that there are truths that go beyond a child's passing tantrums, and that even these tantrums have a basis in a reality that is simply more important.
