I got to know her when I lived by the Manor from 2003 to 2010. Born a devotee. To me she was one of the special ones that only sees the good in everyone. I take Bhakti Charu Maharaja getting Covid as a sign from Krishna that this dangerous pandemic is far from over and devotees are not immune from its effects. I take it as Krishna warning us to not relax our guard. We need to be very careful personally and in making sure that the devotees in our care stay vigilant.

The TOVP is ISKCON’s most important and historically significant project. In the short term the temple will provide the long-awaited new home for our beloved world Deities Sri Sri Radha Madhava, Sri Pancha Tattva and Sri Nrsimhadeva, and bring much attention and stature to ISKCON and the holy birthplace of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu in Sridham Mayapur, the organization’s World Headquarters. In the long term the TOVP will become a world-class mecca for Krishna conscious enlightenment and education, and the spiritual center from which the yuga dharma manifests for hundreds of thousands of years into the future.

Maharaj’s condition is more stable. There is remarkable progress in the respiratory condition. The ventilator was on 90% and now the doctors reduced to 70%. That means Maharaj’s dependency on it is gradually reducing. There are fewer signs of stress.

Prayers for HH Bhakti Charu Maharaja - May the Lord’s Karuna overpower Maya’s Corona, 18th June 2020

We are all distressed to hear the news that His Holiness Bhakti Charu Maharaja has recently contracted the Corona Virus and is in critical condition in the ICU unit of a hospital in the U.S. We therefore immediately made arrangements to carry on a daily Nrsimha Yajna for Maharaja’s protection and recovery. We are requesting all devotees to please keep Maharaja in your hearts and pray that he may quickly revive his health and completely recover from this virulent disease.

Yesterday HH Bhakti Charu Maharaj had a temperature of 104°F, so he was taken in an ambulance from DeLand farm to the hospital and was admitted into the Adventist hospital in DeLand. After 4 hours they discharged him. He decided to come to the preaching center near our house. My husband moved there to take care of him together with Shyama Murari prabhu and Anish prabhu.

In the UK, the Hare Krishna Festival team has stayed at home and stopped all their outreach activities since March 23rd due to COVID-19, a hard time for devotees used to distributing the Holy Name. From June 1st, however, the UK government has begun to ease restrictions slightly. Up to six people are now allowed to gather in public or private outdoor spaces without wearing masks, as long as they remain two meters (six feet) apart.

We have a very sweet dear child that needs your prayers. His name is Ramananda Granger from ISKCON Dallas. Diagnosis is still uncertain but he is very ill, pictured here he is having a CT scan done and he has a spinal tap schedule soon too. His family shares with us he loves to draw, he is a big fan of Lord Ramachandra, and he likes Minecraft a lot too. He is very soft hearted and thinks of others feelings.
