Some 80 members of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Malaysia (Iskcon) Kuching Branch held a special prayer for the passengers and family members of MH370. Last Sunday here in Mayapur a small team of devotees set out to distribute a little prasadam. I say a little, in truth we left Mayapur equipped with 700 litres of piping hot fresh kitchari, which also had some juicy chunks of paneer throughout!

Parampara prabhu inquired: “Good afternoon, ladies. May I help you?” One of the younger women replied, smiling, referring to the elderly American lady, “You know, this lady is very special to your Hare Krsna movement!”

Two or three times a week, I take a break from serving Krishna Lunch prasad and approach a student who is enjoying their Krishna Lunch. Camera phone in hand, I take their picture and record our five minute conversation as I ask them, "When was the first time you had Krishna Lunch?" or, "Why do you come every day?" or, "What do your friends think of it?" And then I listen as they praise Krishna's remnants, usually having to stop them when they've gone on too long.

On the 26th of November last a group of devotees from Croatia visited their President Ivo Josipovic. As per protocol 30 minutes was scheduled for the meeting, however, due to the pleasant atmosphere of the meeting that time was extended. I am pleased to say that His Holiness Bhakti Vrajendranananda Maharaja has made a remarkable recovery and has just been discharged from the hospital.
