By Giriraj SwamiI first met Mother Krsnanandini at the fortieth anniversary of the installation of Sri Sri Radha-Kalachandji in Dallas, on Sri Radhastami in September of 2012. She and her mother, Bhumata, were both initiated by Srila Prabhupada on Radhastami in 1972. At the anniversary, she shared wonderful memories of her meeting Srila Prabhupada in Dallas at the time of the installation of Sri Sri Radha-Kalachandji.

By Sukanti Radha dasiDevotees are so creative in serving ISKCON around the world for different festivals. The holy month of Damodara is no surprise for yet another creative way of honouring Lord Damodar with a mobile Temple. The engineering geniuses behind this amazing service are HG Govindaji Das and HG Anand Prabhu of Durban South Africa. Govindaji das serves in various services for ISKCON in Durban. His most fascinating service is being in charge of the feeding section for Durban Ratha Yatra, ensuring over 10,000 plates a day for 4 consecutive days are served to the visiting community. As we all know...

By Dahani Devi DasiIn the past, ISKCON has already been accepted as a religious community in Serbia, all until 2007 when it was erased from the list with an explanation that its Statute is more suitable for a civil organisation, not a religious one. Last year devotees finally agreed to join efforts and start the whole process of registration again. One hundred signatures had to be collected and all the legal and supporting documents composed. The request was at first reset to a new round due to objections related to two signatures, which made the devotees collect those all from scratch again. After the sig...

Since that time, he dedicated himself to sharing Krishna consciousness with society at large. Maharaja was a pioneer of university outreach and spent many years taking the message of Srila Prabhupada to university campuses in the United States. He also took on leadership respons...

By the GBC Executive CommitteeThe impact of Krishnandini Devi's lifetime of humble service on individual hearts and on the community of devotees and beyond, is immeasurable. By ISKCON North American CouncilThe North American ISKCON yatra has much to thank her for. Her devotional services have had profoundly positive influences on our devotee communities for many, many years. Notably, Krsnanandini dd led the Grhasta Vision Team for two decades. By ISKCON Prison MinistryI attended the Christian services and praised God, but the Bible just didnât satisfy my intellect. I continued to ask God to carry out His will in my body and one day my cell-mate got a copy of the Bhagavad Gita As It Is and it just sat on his shelf for like two weeks until I picked it up one day and started to read and WOW; I thought, ânow THIS is what I have been seeking, Sanatana dharma, the eternal religion.â

The lecture focuses on what happened in Mathura after Kamsa was killed. Krsna is torn between staying in Mathura or returning to Vrindavan. There won't be a dry eye in the audience!

By Radha Kunda DasiRadha's lake is named after Her because, like Radha, it pleases all the transcendental senses of Krsna. Krsna's eyes enjoy seeing Radha-kunda. Krsna's nose relishes the smell of Radha-kunda's waters and its lotus flowers. The touch of radha-kunda's cool water pleases Krsna's body. The sounds of the singing birds and buzzing bees satisfy Krsna's ears. Krsna's tongue enjoys tasting the ambrosial water of Radha-kunda. Radha-kunda is named after Sri Radha because it has the same power that She has to attract and enchant Sri Krsna. This is confirmed in the Caitanya-caritamr...

By Bhakti Raghava SwamiA few years ago, while pursuing my postgraduate studies at USM in Penang, I happen to glance over the front page of the local newspaper to read the following headlines in large capital letters: WANTED: LEADERS. Srila Prabhupada: âOrdinarily, the spiritual master, husband, father, mother or superior relative accepts worship from an inferior relative, but here Rshabhadeva forbids this. First the father, spiritual master or husband must be able to release the dependent from repeated birth and death. If he can...

By Giriraj SwamiThis verse appears in Srimad-Bhagavatam (9.4.68) in connection with a misunderstanding between Durvasa Muni and Maharaja Ambarisa. As a result of this misunderstanding, Durvasa Muni tried to kill the king, when the Sudarsana cakra, the celebrated weapon of Godhead, appeared on the scene for the devoted king's protection. When the Sudarsana cakra attacked Durvasa Muni, he fled in fear of the weapon and sought shelter from all the great demigods in heaven. Not one of them was able to protect him, and therefore Durvasa Muni prayed to Lord Visnu for forgiveness. Lord Visnu advised him, however, t...

By Vijaya DasaThis has never happened before: Chowpatti is the No. 1 temple in India and the No. 2 temple worldwide (just behind Los Angeles, which is always up there in the charts). The Chowpatti temple did 32,952 book points in September, and the Los Angeles temple did a whooping 40,949 book points. Look out, Europe! New Mayapur (France) is moving up in the competition. It was No. 4 among the European temples, with 1,771 book points. Janananda Goswami has a new team of fired-up book distributors, and he also goes out with as many devotees as possible. What an example!

By Brajanath DasaMy wife and I were pondering how to reach out the community with Prabhupada books during the pandemic and we happened to see little birdfeeder-sized, house-shaped structures full of books on the front lawns of houses in our neighborhood. We thought that these would be nice altars for Prabhupada books, and peeked inside. They contained books related to fiction, science, romance, health, and travel as well as kidsâ books. As we didnât see any spiritual books, we thought to place Bhagavad-Gita and other small books of Prabhupada.
