With a generous donation of HK$4 million [364,000 euros] from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness of Hong Kong (ISKCON), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) established a Professorship in Indian Religions and Culture within the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies to strengthen its research and teaching in religious and cultural studies.

The first night of the event was a total eclipse of the moon coinciding with the sacred day Balarama Purnima. At two in the morning during the middle of the eclipse, to everyone's surprise someone climbed atop the Burning Man and set it on fire!

The endeavors of Friends of Vrindavan in waste management have started to bear fruits as people watching it closely is contributing to strengthen its hands to serve the holy abode of the Lord. The Sheetal Group of industries, manufacturers of the plastic items has specially designed a plastic molded rickshaw and donated it to FoV, for segregated waste collection.

After a heavy rain storm in Mayapur on Wednesday 3 September, devotees were surprised to see what looked like a flimsy inflatable catamaran – barely 12 feet long, open, with no covering against the sun – and five sun-burnt, tired but ecstatic happy devotees float through the main gate, having arrived after a month-long journey on Mother Ganga from Vrindavana.

Nirguna was a dedicated preacher and we had the great fortune of spending a year with him here in Atlanta. He was engaged in college preaching and very active with students.

On sept 23rd, ekadasi, a special program was held at our Sri Sri Radha Damodara Temple, Masok where 150 devotees gathered to get darshan of Lord. The program started with bhajan and kirtan followed by a class by Bhakti Purusottam Swami. The program ended with arati and of course a prasadam feast.

So the situation was tragicomical for me. In the sense that doctors from Delhi wanted to take us out in the ambulance but the doctors from Koushik started to yell at the hospital staff from Delhi-“What are you doing here? Who are you? These are my patients.”

Since yesterday evening, it is not raining. The water level is still increasing. Now it is above 4 feet near the main gate. All the ground level areas are totally immersed in water. A make shift bridge has been created between ISKCON Mayapur exit gate and Chakra building and also from Chakra building to Lotus building.

Hundreds of participants flocked from all corners of the east coast, driving as far as 15 hours, to attend this historical event. There are no hard and fast rules for chanting the holy names, no specific time or place is required, and so this festival was solely for the purpose of glorifying Krsna in the form of His holy names.

Ganga Mayi started flooding the ISKCON Campus at 18:30 hrs in the evening today. She started overflowing on her banks across the Bhakti Siddhanta road and with great gushing made her entry into ISKCON Campus at Mayapur through service gate.

On the most auspicious day of Sri Radhastami, September 20, 2007, the transcendental appearance day of Srimati Radharani, ISKCON at Punjabi Bagh in the Western part of New Delhi performed the "pranpratishtha" of Their Lordships Sri Sri Krishna Balaram and Sri Sri Radha Radhika Raman.
